Have you ever been stuck as to what to wear to Disney (be it World, Land OR a cruise)? You have tons of graphic tees and tanks but are drawing a blank as to how to style them in a fresh and fun way? Well, you’re in luck! In this post I’m going to outline for you how to take an ordinary tee (something that we all have) and turn it into a super cute park ready outfit! Are you ready?! Let’s do this!!
First we need to start with a statement piece, think of this item as the focal point for your whole outfit. For this particular look, it’s the tee shirt! I got this retro style tee at the Emporium on Main Street at Magic Kingdom. I was drawn to the vintage feel and bright colors! I adore fun colors! Plus, it’s actually a super soft shirt (while I was shopping on this particular day, I had a few other shirts in mind that I wanted, but they felt so heavy and rough, so naturally I passed on those… Florida can be hot, so a shirt made of a thick material would be unbearable).
With my tee in hand, I began to pursue my closet, looking for bottoms and accessories that would compliment the colors of the shirt. I instantly was drawn to these white shorts with gold nautical buttons. As soon as I decided to pair them with the shirt, the whole nautical vibe sort of fell into place.
For the ears, I had to go with our Cruisin ears! These laser cut wood ears featuring blue acrylic detailing are the perfect accent to bring the nautical look to life! I opted for a fabric bow NAME featuring a wave pattern in different shades of blue. The ears are totally customizable (they come in three shades of wood: cherry, maple, or walnut) and are totally interchangeable!
I kept it simple and fun with the shoes. Silver metallic Vans that reflect the retro skater vibe of the shirt but also compliment the nautical feel of the shorts! Plus they’re super cute in subtle way!
To finish the look, I needed to add a mask, because well, that’s kind of standard at the moment. I chose a silky mask made of a fun anchor pattern in various shades of blue. The mask does not match perfectly, but that’s what I love! The colors are all in the same blue family, which ties the whole look together and totally works for an effortless outfit that is full of style!
