So, I’m going to be completely honest with you… I LOVE Disney and I love shopping, but I really do try and not buy a ton of merch. I am an Orlando resident and my local mall is Disney Springs, so I see the Disney merchandise ALL of the time!!! Not to mention every blog and Disney influencer is always posting about the latest and greatest stuff… and guys, everything is so cute!!!! I seriously want it all! But, I try to be good and do practice self-Control… most of the time! HA
I do buy things periodically throughout the year. Usually when there is stuff that I just cannot live without (or sometimes there’s things that I deem a need, like three Christmas sweaters in one holiday season… yep, that was me this past year)!
Since around June, I’ve bought quite a bit, both online and in the parks. I will say, I know I purchased a ton BUT Disney was offering passholder discounts (30%), so duh, I had to stock up!
So what did I buy?!
Spirit jerseys! Because it’s so cold in Florida (NOT)! HAHA. I just love the carefree vibe of the jerseys. They’re so easy to wear (both to the parks or just around the house) The oversized fit makes them perfect paired with leggings or bike shorts. They’re a little pricey (usually around $70+), and kind of hot (the material is on the thicker side, so definitely not something you can wear year round in Florida)... with ALL of that being said, these aren’t exactly items I’m always buying (kind of a lot to spend on a seasonal item, right?!). So with the 30% passholder discount, it was a no brainer that this was something that I’d stock up on!
I actually bought one full price in June via online. At that time there were no AP discounts online and I wasn’t (still aren’t) going out much, so I bit the bullet and bought the pastel tie dye one (along with the face masks I wanted). I did have a gift card, which helped ease my conscious of paying full price (something I try not to do when it comes to Disney merch). Later in the summer when they introduced the AP 30% discount, I bought three more!
I got the coral, light violet and the super cute Baby Yoda one! I still really want the Haunted Mansion glow in the dark Jersey and hope to add that one to my collection soon (if I can ever find it in my size)!
Leggings! Why? Well I can tell you this, it was not because I needed more! I live in leggings (I also work in leggings), so my collection is massive! I have various colors, lengths, patterns, pleather, sparkle…. You name it, I probably have it! However, I didn’t have any Disney leggings (if you can believe that)! I’d been eyeing them… they’re super cute because they come in so many fun patterns!
Oh, and did I mention that they’re incredibly soft? I got the Haunted Mansion wallpaper pattern pair and a fun Mickey head and star pair. I thought both were good options that will allow me to have multiple choices as far as what I wear on top.
Masks! This was a NEED (HAHA sort of). These also were not discounted at the time (I believe that they are now). I got two multi packs from online - the Star Wars and the cute Mickey/Minnie one that I thought would provide me with some excellent classic Disney options. In the parks I bought the very fun and colorful Pixar mask (LOVE it!) and the Mickey face onE (which is so cute and always yields such fun images - I just wish I t fit a little better)!
Shirts! I love a good graphic tee and when I saw these, I knew I had to have them. I got them at Magic Kingdom in the Emporium. I actually wanted another design as well (one that had been VERY popular online), however upon feeling it, I noticed the fabric was too heavy for my liking and not soft. So I didn’t get that one. If I’m buying something I’m not sure of or haven’t gotten before, like tees, I like being able to feel the material to ensure I’ll be happy. Thick shirts in the summer in Florida is not something I want to do.
A backpack! Believe me when I say, I by no means needed this. I have a Hershel backpack I usually take to the parks, I LOVE! But this was a special promo… “spend so much and then this backpack can be yours for (insert dollar amount)!” Yep… I spent the amount and then paid more for the bag! What can I say?! I clearly have a shopping problem! HAHA But it’s a super cute patriotic Mickey bag and I do fully intend to use it!
