Super Bowl Parade at MK

Super Bowl Parade at MK

Anyone who knows Eric, knows that he loves football. He was born and raised in Massachusetts, so it should come as no surprise that his team is the New England Patriots! This past year as soon as the Patriots won the Super Bowl, I realized what it meant… a Super Bowl Parade at Magic Kingdom with the MVP, Julien Edleman. But then we started to hear rumblings that not only would Julien be coming, but Tom Brady, as well! That sealed it for us! We HAD to go see them!!

Eric was able to work from home on Monday, the day after the Super Bowl, and the day of the parade. I already work from home, so I asked my boss if I could take an extended lunch (and she said yes)!

We left at 12:30pm, and by the time we parked and took the monorail to MK, it was a little before 1pm. There were already a ton of people there, but we found an awesome spot on Main Street, right to the right of the Train station. Once we had our spot, we waited. The parade did not start until close to 3pm, which we knew. We arrived early to get a a good spot.

Time actually flew by. The people we were standing next to were all super friendly and we passed the time chatting, eating Mickey bars, and tracking Tom and Julien’s morning spent at Hollywood Studios.

Once the actual parade started, it moved very quickly. There was a marching band and a large float that held Mickey, Minnie, Tom and Julien.

We’ve experienced a ton of very cool things at Disney (passholder preview of Pandora, rode The Great Movie Ride on it’s last day of operation, played in Andy’s backyard with hard anyone else for a VIP event)... but hands down… this his was one of the coolest! Getting to see such amazing athletes that Eric has watched and admired for years was pretty incredible. Despite what team you root for, or what your feelings are about football, there is no denying the amazing athleticism of Tom Brady. He is one the best athletes out there (he is the GOAT, afterall).

And the energy at MK was unreal. I’d never seen so many Patriots fans at Disney World… it was crazy! Eric felt right at home.  Everyone was so happy and excited to cheer on their Super Bowl champs.

If you ever are in Disney World or DisneyLand when the Super Bowl parade takes place, definitely try and see it! It’s a must! Oh, and if you were wondering... my ears were custom (by us)! Eric made them for me... Actually the day before (Super Bowl Sunday) I was at Magic Kingdom and he had made me a pair of Super Bowl ears (one ear was for the Patriots and the other for the Rams)!

Did you know that we make custom designed ears? If you have an idea for an awesome pair of ears, send us an email! We'd love to help make your dream pair a reality!
